Our Story
Alex & Itzik met in Tel Aviv in early 2021, in the midst of the pandemic.
Despite the chaos and uncertainity, they quickly found home in each other.
Together they've traveled the world, sharpened each other's beach matkot game, shared & hosted many delicious meals, and spent more time than they're willing to admit cuddling on the couch with a good movie. Life together has been full and beautiful; and in December 2022, the couple flew to India, and on Itzik's 35th birthday, on a deserted beach in Goa, he made Alex the happiest woman in the world and asked her to marry him.
Alex & Itzik were civilly married in Cyprus with a small group of close friends in September 2023. As if things couldn't get any better, in January 2024 their beloved daughter Alma was born.
She is truly the light of their lives, and they are so excited to have her present for the festivities.
It's been a massive last few years full of adventures, and our little family has so much to celebrate!
We'd be honored if you'll join us in commemorating the beginning of the rest of our lives together as the Mauyhas-Mandel family.

Our event will be held at a really special high-end glamping venue called Manduma. This is where we will stay and host most of our guests. The venue offers upscale glamping with jacuzzis, small pools (bring a bathing suit!), communal spaces, shared bathrooms & showers (really nice ones!) and unbelievable desert views. The whole event will be held here and we hope you'll join us there to celebrate, party in the wadi & soak in the immaculate desert vibes!
As you can see from the photos, the rooms are spread out throughout the venue which will allow for privacy and some separation from wedding festivities. That being said, we plan to throw a great party. If you are most concerned with getting a good nights rest, it may be beneficial to choose to stay at one of the nearby hotels.
Here are the hotels in the area:
Kedma- A beautiful high-end hotel about a 22 min drive away from our venue
Beresheet- A luxury hotel of dreams in Mizpe Ramon and 10 minutes from the wedding venue
Airbnb- Of course Airbnbs are always a great option. This is particularly true for families and anyone looking for more affordable housing because unfortunately hotels in Israel are pricey!
Of course the funnest, and also likely most affordable option will be to stay with us at Manduma :) Please click the button below to book your place at Manduma!! For those that can share accommodations with friends or family, we encourage you to do so, so we have room for all those who would like to stay with us!
If you have any questions or concerns about accommodations feel free to be in touch! <3

Q&A
Travel
We understand traveling to Israel for most right now is a big trip, in uncertain times. We are so grateful for whoever can make it.
In terms of air travel, it is *highly recommended* that those coming from abroad book with Israeli airline El Al. Unlike other airlines, they only cancel when there is a real threat. Unfortunately El Al flights are not the cheapest these days, but they are the ones most likely to actually fly. If you're coming from the US and can/want to make a stopover in Europe this could reduce airfare, but of course do the comparison from your home airport.
In addition, for those flying in, we also highly recommend to purchase travel insurance. Faye is a new provider bringing whole trip insurance into the digital age. Check them out if you're coming from the States or take a policy with your preferred provider.
Transportation:
Transportation will be provided from Tel Aviv to our venue in Mitzpe Ramon & back, more details and timing TBD
Security:
We understand that many people traveling from abroad may have concerns about their safety. We want to assure you that the locations that you would be traveling to, Tel Aviv and Mitzpe Ramon, are secure. Both locations are covered within the iron dome. Mitzpe Ramon is located away from the West Bank and Gaza (224 km & 104 km away respectively), considered one of the safest places to be in the country in regards to rocket fire, and has not seen rocket fire or had any recent attacks.
We will be monitoring the situation leading up to the wedding and will be sharing updates and making arrangements as needed based on the climate.
As with any travel, it is important to check alerts with your embassy, and enroll in your country's traveler program (e.g. Smart Traveler Program).
Children:
We love 'em! Our guests are more than welcome to bring their little ones. We sure will :) We aim to have a babysitter (or two!) available onsite, depending on how many of our friends & family will bring their kids. If you plan to bring yours, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.
